Programming & Development

Unfortunately it's insta crashing at map1

Much love

Hello. I am a programming beginner, and I tried to build my own server from scratch. However, when I reach the stage of opening the channels, I encounter errors; when I run the commands, the system reports that the files are corrupt or empty. I would like to use ready-made, complete files and modify them instead. Can you help me with that?

It looks like a great project; I can't wait to try it out!

[UPDATE] You can download a full singleplayer local build for Windows x64 from here https://github.com/iamBVC/UnrealLongju/releases/tag/b82

Hello everyone, I'm drulinex. I started on the visual side of a private server: the patcher window, login, character select (a night camp where the characters sit by a fire), character creation, kingdom choice and the loading screen, one layout from 800x600 to 2560x1440 in ten languages. Then seven unique mini-bosses, a series of TikTok clips recorded in the game with voice and editing, and a website and a wiki in ten languages. Step by step the work moved into the code. Today I work on the client and the server: game systems (World Boss, Kingdom War, Dojang tournament, ranked arena, event calendar, hunting missions, in-game item shop, referral, Vote4Buff, shop search, loot filter), a native macOS client, a mobile client that is still in the works, and a DirectX 11 renderer that is already promising. I know I still have a lot to learn. If you have been at this longer and have advice on the next milestones (renderer and performance work, tooling, or anything you wish you had learned earlier), I'd be glad to hear it. Glad to be here.

Fellow players, We are pleased to introduce Isia2, a hard old-school Metin2 project inspired by the classic 2010 era, built around meaningful progression, challenging gameplay, and the philosophy that made the original game memorable. In a community where new servers appear almost every week, we understand that promises alone mean little. Our ambition is to deliver a carefully balanced experience where traditional mechanics, thoughtful quality-of-life improvements, and long-term progression work together without compromising the essence of OldSchool. With a level 99 cap, demanding PvM content, rewarding farming, and a player-driven economy, we aim to create a world where dedication and achievements truly matter. As we approach our October 30, 2026 launch, we will be sharing further details about our gameplay, features, and development. We warmly invite you to follow our journey and become part of the Isia2 community. ISIA2 — Make Every Victory Mean Something.
