    Okay thank you very much Good explanation and tutorial! Only one question more: The operation system you use wasn't freebsd and the compiler not gcc or? How did you copied the .exe to a path and the server started with that, don't you need an ftp for a server?

    Sorry? He only wants to increase from 999.999.999 to 2kk or did i understood wrong. He doesn't wants to increse the yang limit, only to increase the field length that is 9 at the moment.

    Yes, it's the fix for it. BUT: What should normal users, without any special rights do? Aren't there any other fix?

    After writing: # file game # core game.core you have to type: # bt in gdb, to get a backtrace... What you did is only to select your .core file with: "core game.core" and select your game file with: "file game" (# stands for typing that command in your console...)

    Hi, I'd like to have my protos in old XML format (from 2089k). If I unpack this new item_proto (40k) it gives me two files: item_names.txt and item_proto.txt But item_proto is in this format: How do I change it back? Thanks for all replies!
