I found more old imgages from early beta:

The warrior was supposed to have a helmet.

 

 

 

 

The ninja was supposed to have something like a mask.

 

 

Sura was supposed to have magick stick or something.

When i tried this client, a friend disabled hackshield in the bin with Ida Pro for me. Sadly he is inactive and i did not keep the bin.

 

If you want to try a working old-timer server experience you better to take Rain serverfile and 2008 US client, they fit together. You should find both at this forum.

I have already done server on Rain files from 2007/2008. Now I want to try something older ;pp. Thanks for advice.

According to the files modification's date, it is a 2005 client.

 

There wasen't any "locale" at the time, but there was a "DefaultCodePage" what can be 936 and 949.

(In short 936 is china, 949 is korea)

There wasen't seperate quest letter icon and console worked by default:

There is no skipia entrance in map1 since did not exist yet: 

 

The old "thin" bridges: Ymir remade them to make it bigger, the thin version caused some problem.

 

Edit: if anyone want to install this client run the installer with xp compatible mode then it will start.

Also be aware that the installer shows c:\program files\metin2 but will install to your last drive's root, in my case F:\metin2.

Can someone reupload for metin2 starter with no hackshield exe? i tried to change the metin2.bin to metin2.exe but it did not work hshield error appears already
