Full warning about Kurc Design

I worked with this designer at a time when he had very few clients, and at first, everything seemed promising. He does good design work, has talent, and a solid creative eye — but professionally, the experience was disappointing.

Delivery times are extremely long, and once he receives payment, his priorities shift. Instead of finishing already-paid projects, he takes on new ones and puts yours on hold — sometimes for months.

I’m writing this specifically to warn others about @KurlzDesign and his lack of professionalism. Recently, I collaborated with him on several design projects (website, patcher, login, select character, select kingdom). While the website was mostly completed, it was never fully finished, even though I paid in full. I had to follow up multiple times for reworks — which were also paid — but he constantly delayed them. I waited months just to receive half of the changes.

This is not an isolated incident. In my experience, I’ve waited over 3 months for relatively simple changes, and back in 2024, I had to wait 5 to 6 months just to receive the patcher design, — which should’ve been delivered much sooner.

Even when I finally received it, several elements were incomplete or missing. For example:

The Renewal Loading Screen and Login Channel design were left unfinished, even after I clearly pointed out what was missing.

For the Select Character screen, I had specified from the beginning that I would have 5 races, but the design was only adapted for 4.

At this point, I don’t have much more to add — except this:

Be careful if you plan to work with him. The design quality is there, but the lack of professionalism and accountability can cause serious delays and frustration.

I strongly do not recommend paying in full or even 50% upfront. If you still choose to work with him, do not pay more than 30% in advance, and only release the remaining 70% once the project is fully completed. This way, there’s actual motivation for him to deliver.

I don't have time for little works, such subpages.

So to be clear. 
They guy requested designs. I delivered them. After a year he wanted redesigns I did them. 2 subpages left, which weren't paid!

He is just mad, because he has to work with tuora kek I'm so sorry bro...

Alright. Back to the topic: I will now attach proof from our Discord conversation so we can see who's actually right. I'll also include evidence of the payments made for the redesign — this is €125 out of the total €150 for the full redesign.

There are four items already paid for:

I haven’t received the reworked animation we agreed upon.

I also haven’t received the three missing elements, which have already been paid for.

Regarding the mention of Toura: I haven’t actually contacted him — I simply used him as an example, because at least he delivers on time, unlike you.

Now, regarding the situation with the First Project: I did mention that I was sick for about 1–2 months. However, I’ve always made that clear, and I kept asking you when you planned to finish the rest. You can clearly see this in the evidence, based on the gap between the dates.

As a final note, be careful what you write, Kurc — at least I have proof for everything I’m saying, so stop making excuses. All I did was post a warning for future buyers.

I could’ve easily filed a report for unprofessional behavior, and the evidence is clear — it doesn’t lie.

I think it’s only fair that when someone pays for something, they receive it as soon as possible — not months later, like in your case.

And honestly, I don’t like having to chase you for something I already paid for. In the end, it’s my money. If you don’t take your work seriously, you’ll end up being seen as an unreliable designer across all communities. I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one who waited months for a single design.

Regarding Toura — like you mentioned — I haven’t even contacted him yet. But at least he delivers on time, tells you exactly how long something will take, and finishes the job properly.

In the end, it’s my choice who I want to work with — it’s my money. I didn’t ask you to work for free, and I’ve always paid for the work you completed.

As clearly shown in the proof (GIF), I did not receive the website banner, nor the social media banners. Yet you received an extra €50, bringing the total to €300, just as we agreed from the start.

Regarding your lie about the website rework payment — where you claimed to have only received 50%:
We agreed from the beginning the rework would be between €100-150.
In the end, I agreed to invest €150, and you’ve already received €125, missing only €25 — which was for the Player Profile (as shown in the screenshot).
So show me proof that I sent “only 50% (€75)” like you falsely claimed.
Stop making things up — if you were professional, we wouldn’t even be in this situation.

Now, regarding your question — “Why didn’t I hire/find another designer?”
Why would I? You were already paid to do this work, and I never received the final product.
So your logic is that I should now pay another designer to finish your job? That’s just stupid.
Who in their right mind would do that?

What kind of “lesson” is that — that you’re an unreliable designer who begs for money?
Need I remind you when you begged me for money for your pills?
At least I haven’t had to stoop that low — you’re embarrassing yourself.

Let me be clear from the start — I never said you're not a good designer. In fact, you're the best I’ve worked with so far, and I fully acknowledge your talent.

However, my issue isn’t with your skills, but with the fact that you made promises you didn’t keep. My patience has limits, especially when I’ve been waiting months for certain details to be delivered.
I simply shared proof of our past collaborations, where it’s clear that you left projects unfinished, even though you were paid for them.

When I first contacted you, you had no ongoing work, and you weren’t working with Levia2 at that time.
(And just being honest — servers like Levia usually don’t last more than 5–6 months. After they recover their investment and make a some profit, they typically shut down, like many others servers each month.)

I didn’t ask for anything extra — just that you finish the reworks you were already paid for.
Worse yet, you're now claiming you weren’t paid, even though I’ve posted the payment proof in the topic.

Because of that, I was forced to file a report on Metin2Dev, with video evidence, due to your false statement.

No matter how many clients you may have, it only takes a few people with solid proof to ruin your reputation.

There’s no need to open another report — I’ve already opened one under his name. If we don’t resolve this, he’ll end up being seen as an untrustworthy user/designer.
I forgot to mention that I’ll be posting about this on all Metin2 forums where he’s active.
Even his old clients — the ones he brags about — won’t come back once he’s labeled as an untrustworthy designer.
I’m curious how many clients like me are out there — but they’re starting to show up here too.

This thread brings up important points, and I can understand both sides. It seems clear that both the seller and the buyer could benefit from taking a step back and approaching the situation calmly.
The seller should either refund the money or work toward a solution, and if that doesn’t happen, some form of action on metin2dev might be appropriate.
At the same time, it's understandable that real-life obligations, hobbies, and other projects can unexpectedly interfere. However, it's generally more professional to communicate openly if you realize you don't have the capacity, for example by saying, "Hey, I’m currently unavailable. Please check back in a couple of months."
Professionalism is something the Metin2 community as a whole can still improve on, and both parties should recognize that public threads often don’t lead to quick resolutions — especially if communication has already broken down.
The bottom line is: only accept commissions if you are reasonably sure you can deliver, but also, customers should allow room for personal circumstances when possible.
And to the thread creator: it's always a good idea to try solving such issues privately first, including requesting a refund, before making it a public matter. That usually leads to better outcomes for everyone involved.

I do not want to be forced to replace with design just because he refuses to finish the work properly.

Most professional designers refuse to fix or rework projects that were started by someone else, even if they are offered generous payment.

We actually tried to resolve our dispute peacefully, but I waited three months, and he still hasn’t finished a simple rework.
I believe I have been more than patient. I noticed he kept delaying, inventing excuse after excuse to avoid completing his work— just to squeeze more money from me.

I also overlooked issues from our first project (specifically the website) and then the game interface, and still trusted him to finish everything after the rework.
Yes, it’s partly my fault that I paid him even before completion, trusting he would deliver — but clearly, I was wrong.

Now we’ll see if he dares to show up on Discord or reply here on the forum, but I believe he will just disappear for months again, as usual.

There are already 3–4 complaint tickets filed under his name — and this is just the beginning.
Who knows how many more reports will appear once I submit complaints on the other communities where he is active?

If we don’t solve this, I’m warning you now: your reputation as a designer will sink fast.
Let's see what you’ll do when no current or future clients (if you’ll even have any left) trust you anymore because of your unreliability and scamming behavior.
