Open the serverfiles CONFIG files and search for ports. When you are looking for channel port, search in "first" folder and not "game_1" or "game_2". Then just simply open "serverinfo.py" and replace the ports. About the binary, can't suggest you anything. You can take the novaline branch for that or search for some on the internet.

It might be the server_attr. Try creating a new one!

As far as I know every single source that is public on the internet has been taken from kraizy. And the best thing to do, if I were on your place, is either buy the "fixed" source or modify the one from kraizy. For the server part you should use mainline_released or mainline, and for the client part either take novaline or try the Reboot's one or some others that are ready to be compiled and without any modifications. Many sources include some systems which haven't been fixed or half coded which causes random crashes from the server. So that is why you should use your own source, where you know what have you changed and possibly help you when you meet an error. And you were asking about the client.. It doesn't really matter, you can build your own, and again that is what I recommend you to do. Take the pack files from here, find the matching libs & python files and then you are basically done. Hello there, I guess I can anwser your questions. 1. The game is definetely fun and interesting due its unique battle style. With it you can hit multiple monsters, which is not as in others MMORPGs where you kill monster by monster who are not grouped. But the problems come in the depper gameplay where you have to grind for months and you won't be awarded much. Sadly the publishers care only about money, and not the game, but the official servers did get some fancy updates lately. But again, you will have to spend thousands of € to enjoy those updates 2. People prefer private servers because they are easier(Higher expirience rates&items drop rates). But nowdays, people(Even casual metin2 players) download public serverfiles/buy from others and they start their own server. Without putting any effort in it they start making money. And that, is the current problem in the metin2 private server scene. There are maybe like 10 diffrent servers which lasted for over 2 years, everything else is fake, which died or will die in few months because they just copy the same gameplay over and over again. 3. There is no mysql password since it contains only the metin2 databases. If you don't know how to create a new mysql user, import the mysql from other servefiles and replace the account/log/common/player. Kind Regards, Sonitex
