You need a quest file for an item that does what you want it to. Then choose an item and use that vnum in the quest. The item type should be 18 in the database.

There's no point in hiding the IP, anyone who makes a connection to your server (even if putting wrong login information at login screen) can see the IP of your server. Anyone can also resolve the domain name to an IP easily.

you need a normal user account (not root account) as the error indicates.

as you said in PM your game won't open at all after you pack the client with Enigma. This is most likely because of the game thinking a cheat is running. However, there has been a recent issue with Windows 8 (I believe it's linked to the patches that came out on the 11th) which may be causing problems too. I'm already working directly with Enigma to have that problem fixed.

make sure the AUTH config has BIND_IP set to your server ip. I recently had this issue when changing hosts, despite running AUTH config without a BIND_IP since August 1st.

does metin2 really have such a poor developer that it took a regular person to fix this bug after all this time

well they are the closest full release to getting files straight from YMIR. You have to configure a few settings, this isn't a VDI.
