"Access denied for user 'metin2'@'localhost' " 34k untouched

Hey, just implementing the 34k untouched files but for some reason i'm getting the below error and not entirely sure what to do about it.

cannot open direct sql connection to host: localhost user: metin2 db: common
cannot start server while no common sql connected

Check the config files in the cores' folders. There are written the id and pw for the mysql user which is used by your metin2 server. If every detail is correct, you won't get this error.

Change the password of your metin2 mysql user in that you have in the CONFIG files.

They're all the same, other than Auth config pw i cross checked with my working server and that worked fine. I'm doing this on a VPS if that makes any difference? also the user i made called "metin2" as instructed by the 34k clean instructions to all of the passwords seen in the config, none worked all caused the same error

You have no changed CONFIG files, first edit Mysql user & pass then add MAP_ALLOW: all game core.. Don't add to AUTH.

1. go in putty and write

mysql -u root [enter]

2. go in winscp or fillezila in /usr/home/game/channel1 and open config

go back to putty and write

grant all on *.* to USER@"localhost" identified by " you'r passwrd";

exit;

/usr/local/etc/rc.d/mysql-server restart
