ashia2.cz was blocked 17.6.2024 reason: decisions of criminal prosecution authorities

after banned they buy domain ashia2.cc but owners are too dumb and still has alot stuff m2 theme on website and owner is still on this forum (not banned)

They stole the game's source code and made more than thirteen million crowns by modifying it

In recent days, criminal investigators have been investigating a very unusual case of fraud, in which the perpetrators made off with several million crowns.

     "I can confirm that the above-mentioned fraudulent act was committed by two men over the course of several years, during which they created copies of computer games. The source code of the original game was illegally obtained by one of the accused on the Internet. Together, they modified it and created games similar to the original, which they subsequently made available on their websites.
      In order to operate one of the created games, one of the accused established a company. All games then allowed players to make purchases of game currency for real money. With the game currency, players could then buy various items such as equipment for the game character or to improve their characteristics.
     The company, whose executive director was one of the accused, accepted amounts totaling at least 13 million crowns from players. This legal entity was also charged with the crime of violating copyright, rights related to copyright and database rights," the police spokeswoman described to us in detail.

 

     The injured company operating the original version of the copied computer game itself pointed out this behavior and filed a criminal complaint against the unknown perpetrator. At the time of filing the complaint, it estimated the resulting damage at more than 20 million crowns.

     "Tachov criminal investigators have charged two 26-year-old men with the crime of violating copyright, rights related to copyright, and database rights.
      As part of the criminal proceedings, criminal investigators have seized the instruments and proceeds from this criminal activity from all the accused, specifically money, an apartment, land, computer equipment, as well as websites and domains. All of this with a total value of almost 5 million crowns," the spokeswoman concluded, adding that in recent days the court approved a plea agreement that the accused concluded with the public prosecutor.

Did they get reported or did they just get caught with it because of other things?

If so, who reported them? GF?

from what I understand he opened another server with a different domain, but what next? He didnt go to jail? what legal steps were taken, what next, nothing is known about it

Probably got a slap on the wrist and got told he wasn't a good boy. Then they left to do more important things, like drinking coffee or scratching their balls(and I can't blame them, it feels pretty good).

 They open same server only they transfer company to london and also use .cc domain and what can do gf when they dont have any "privilegia" outside EU? They can also sent dmca, but who cares kek

I don't know if they're intentionally being vague or not in the reporting. They said it was "games" suggesting they had stolen and modified more than just Metin2 (if Metin2 is actually part of that list of games). I wish they were more specific.

If it is Metin2 and it was Gameforge who went after them, it's not really a surprise at this point. I sometimes wonder if Gameforge makes more money going around suing private servers than they do on their actual game servers.
