mob.spawn?

Hi, could someone say how the mob.spawn quest function works? I assumed it'd be like mob.spawn(101) but that failed to work so not much other ideas.

reason being, got a system and in this system when you kill a boss it'll spawn a secondary mob. yes i realize i can use regen files to do this but that will cause other issues which i'm trying to avoid .
