Weapon's specular

Hi guys, I found weird problem with weapon's specular. I have 2 characters with Full Moon Sword+9 equipped and now when one of them will change weapon to FMS+0 specular will disapear for both characters.

 

I took a look on that on 2 different servers, both of them got this problem.

I do have a fix for that actually. But I don't know if I want to sell / release it.

Just do what everybody else did. IGNORE IT. I don’t think it’s such a big deal.

You can fix this problem with shining system and set up an effect with it. Another way is you need change item vnum. +0 items has xxxx0 vnum +1 items has xxxx1 vnum. when you adjust last digit to 9 client counts items as +9 and put effect on it. actualll only +7 +8 +9 items has visual effects.

This is absolutely wrong. What determines the shine effect is what you put in the specular field, for +9 shine it's "100". He can't just adjust vnum and get the shine. Has nothing to do with the vnum.
