mysql password

can someone tell me how to change my mysql password

$ mysqladmin -u root password NEWPASSWORD

then i have to change that in all CONFIG FILES?

i dont 'have to do this ?

GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON *.* TO 'rumor'@'%'
IDENTIFIED BY 'password' WITH GRANT OPTION;
GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON *.* TO 'metin2'@'localhost'
