  1. Please use the code BBCODE and select "Quest" when you post quests, it looks much neater. Moved to Programming.
  2. Next time please enclose your commands (or any programming languages) in code tags, it's much neater and easier for people to see. Moved to Guides & HowTo.
  3. cool, I remember they had this in Metin2US before using the same color code system and it was removed because people didn't want to only use it to sell and buy items. I've been looking for this modification for such a long time.
  4. class name? can you just pm me, this is off-topic
  5. If you find it offensive there's nothing I can do about that, I have a successful method of finding cheaters based on demographic statistics. I seriously doubt that, as I've went and tested the cheats which are available. If you'd like to mention which one you think works I can test it / let you know / fix it. Thanks
  6. My client is pretty safe from cheaters, but if anyone is ever reported as a cheater nothing really happens because people tend to not get any proof and without proof I don't ban. I also have in the past, several times, checked the users with /u and teleported to names. I use racial profiling to spot Romanian players and warp to them and also check any names like xXxWarriorProxXx who may be RO or MKD or whatever.. names with TR and PL also raise a flag. These are the demographics for cheaters so I use this data to search for them. Luckily I only have to do this if there's a cheat that I know is working and I haven't figured out how to block yet.. so this doesn't have to be done too often anymore. In older days my friend Die4Me made me a great system that analyzes the log data into another table showing me who's switchbotting based on their bonus changing behavior. When a player reports a potential cheater to me while I'm online I drop what I'm doing and warp to them invisibly. I try to re-create use of the cheat to see how it works and what harm it can do, then try to figure out a way to block it, which in most cases involves adding it to the deny list in enigma.
  7. Thanks morfo2. I am also already thinking of using FR based OVH via server4pro (to pay with paysafecard). I continued to try to contact Vilayer but they never answer calls or skype. Due to this, ovh is looking like the only answer. I do have a few issues with using OVH though.. I dont wan't to be specific here but I don't know if OVH's protection is adequate :<.
  8. yes I understand the goal of what you're posting but screens are still a "plus"
  9. Well I prefer to pay about the same as what I pay now or less (52.50 eur). Only reason I even make such an idea is because I know OVH rents cheap ddos protected servers. I think I'd be willing to pay up to around 75 eur a month. Vilayer does look pretty nice, though I've been trying to contact them on TS3 and by phone and they don't seem to answer. I could use an i3-2100 with 120GB SSD RAID1, 1.5Gbps filter, 1Gbps port, 8GB RAM for about 80 eur/month hosted in Rotterdam, NL. My current server is a Xeon 3210, 8GB RAM, 2x 250GB SATAII, 1Gbps port, no protection in Amsterdam, NL. I prefer to host in NL rather than france because I'm using a webhost in NL inside the same DC to host the website and using Remote MYSQL. Could always change to another host though..
  10. Did you be sure to delete the files in the "package" folder?
  11. well my server has been under attack this past week and is right now, can't even login on SSH. I'm interested in finding DDoS protected hosting and unsure where to go :< ** nfdump -M /home/nfsen/profiles-data/live/br3:br2 -T -R 2014/02/07/nfcapd.201402071510:2014/02/07/nfcapd.201402071515 -n 10 -s record/flows -A proto,srcip,srcport,dstip,dstport nfdump filter: dst ip 213.163.64.211 Aggregated flows 3434 Top 10 flows ordered by flows: Date flow start Duration Proto Src IP Addr Src Pt Dst IP Addr Dst Pt Packets Bytes bps Bpp Flows 2014-02-07 15:10:04.550 593.822 UDP 111.13.14.2 123 213.163.64.211 11002 712704 319.3 M 4.3 M 448 87 2014-02-07 15:10:00.645 580.035 UDP 157.130.175.206 123 213.163.64.211 11002 671744 300.9 M 4.2 M 448 82 2014-02-07 15:11:42.294 494.459 UDP 46.180.44.236 123 213.163.64.211 11002 663552 297.3 M 4.8 M 448 81 2014-02-07 15:10:05.202 592.235 UDP 111.20.140.86 123 213.163.64.211 11002 638976 286.3 M 3.9 M 448 78 2014-02-07 15:11:45.992 487.612 UDP 46.180.160.169 123 213.163.64.211 11002 630784 282.6 M 4.6 M 448 77 2014-02-07 15:11:21.358 493.945 UDP 46.180.166.134 123 213.163.64.211 11002 630784 282.6 M 4.6 M 448 77 2014-02-07 15:11:21.059 497.715 UDP 46.180.178.212 123 213.163.64.211 11002 630784 282.6 M 4.5 M 448 77 2014-02-07 15:10:12.545 565.179 UDP 1.209.215.71 123 213.163.64.211 11002 630784 282.6 M 4.0 M 448 77 2014-02-07 15:10:01.571 598.333 UDP 113.59.61.169 123 213.163.64.211 11002 630784 282.6 M 3.8 M 448 77 2014-02-07 15:10:10.841 534.738 UDP 157.253.192.181 123 213.163.64.211 11002 622592 278.9 M 4.2 M 448 76 Summary: total flows: 36637, total bytes: 130.9 G, total packets: 300.1 M, avg bps: 1.7 G, avg pps: 500308, avg bpp: 436 Time window: 2014-02-07 15:10:00 - 2014-02-07 15:19:59 Total flows processed: 920992, Blocks skipped: 0, Bytes read: 88429304 Sys: 0.270s flows/second: 3399021.3 Wall: 0.270s flows/second: 3406955.3
  12. Some users said that you have to get the latest version of Enigma Protector and it will work on 8.
  13. it's in rain files release, but they have definitely changed from rain to 2089 era
  14. I received the email too, but that wasn't what happened in reality with Xertonia. I also didn't receive my money back for services he didn't give. I'll be sure to keep people from hosting their servers with this thief paul waldmann. Guess who's Paul's best friend from Metin2 ? CupCake from metin2us. He even lived with her for a while in Arizona. Even after Xertonia was down, Metin2Undead/UndeadEmpire continued to stay online with the ip "185.5.174.174" belonging to Xertonia. Xertonia continued to send me emails several months after "Voxility scammed them" and never returned the stolen money. Regarding WorldStream, I agree that most of Metin2 server admins are dumb kids.. but I'm a unique customer and shouldn't be treated poorly by WS.. nor should any other customer who's done nothing wrong. They need to conduct their business professionally without any bias towards admins for a certain game.
  15. Well the version difference refers to which BIT applications you want to encrypt, not the OS bits you want to run Enigma Protector on. I think that's why it wasn't working for Metin2. I bet you could use the 64-bit version on an executable that was coded for 64-bit use. It sounds like your computer doesn't have enough RAM to complete the operation but after reading a bit online someone else with Enigma also had this issue. How many MB are you trying to pack into the Metin2 bin? Maybe you accidentally tried to pack the epk files in the Virtual Box settings?
  16. I think you should move forward and go ahead and make it for 4.8's improvements and use 4.8 rather than 4.9 to keep it as stable as possible.
  17. The confusion comes from the fact they aren't increasing the version number to 4 after hitting 3.99 should I be gettin the 32-bit executables version or the 64-bit one? 32 right? thanks
  18. Sure, I have some questions 1. Do you get updates when a patch is released, for free? 2. Do they start actually answering you once you have purchased the software? 3. Are there more plugins and features available in the latest version (compared to 3.70 build 20120504)? What?? You're using 3.150 but you purchased the software? I have 3.70. Does the version number after the decimal exceed 100?
  19. I think the best way for DDoS protection may be having multiple VPSs filtering connections before packets reach the real server or to use an actual hardware firewall. My host provides the options to add-on hardware firewalls but they are out of my price league. I could afford it for a while but it's nothing I could continually use and still profit or keep my server on while using. One thing I like to do is make sure I get a dedicated 1Gbps port because alot of attacks can't even exceed half of that speed so it doesn't really effect the server. It will continue to eat up your bandwidth quickly though :/. Yeah, I even had this guy a few weeks ago who was using some exploits in my server to shut it off and demanding money, I told him to fuck off and fixed the problem instead.
  20. I'd love to talk to the owner but he refuses to answer emails Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
