How i can read it out of ur text u already have a root user with an existing password.

Just login into MySQL via Navicat, login into ur data's and click on "User".

After that just make a double click on the right one that u would change the password and done «3

You can use mysql -u root -p then connect and then :

USE mysql

UPDATE user

SET password=password("password")

WHERE user="root";

apply privileges :

flush privileges;

then quit

exit

then reboot

reboot
