If you type this in your freebsd console :

date

you will get something like this

Wed April  9 23:33:19 EEST 2015

That means you have to set your time .

 

date yymmddhhmmss

 

Where,

  • yy : Year in two digit
  • mm : Month (1-12)
  • dd : Day (1-31)
  • hh : Hours (0..23)
  • mm : Minutes (0..59)
  • ss : Seconds (0..61)

 

For example:

date 0804152335

8-Apr-2015, 23:35 PM

 

If you just want to update time

 

# date 1630

16:30PM
