[Help]Server down

Hi guys I have 2 weeks since mi server at 24 hours is going down the auth soo the players cant login.

I dont know why I use game 2089M but never happened this to me I was searching to many thinks to repair thins but no results....

Sysser auth  tell this:

As first Improve your RAM size, your core gets lag with it.

Second, your cores can't connect db or whatever (depend your ports).

There's something freezing your server at that moment. Can you check your server's date?

how much RAM do you have? It's pretty hard to get a dedicated server that doesn't have enough for a metin2 server. How many cores do you run too?

I have 4gb ram and only run 4 cores in total for 2 chanels on...So whit 4 cores i think is ok and only 60-80 players..

It's okay those lags appear when some connection for example db to game or game to game take too long.

Restart the Auth Server and make sure every ymir server check or expiration date is removed before you do so.

Also check if you get attacked and check if the connection to mysql and other connections are fine

I had the same problem in my server and it turned out to be a hardware issue which caused the system clock to be off.

Always make sure your server's time is correct.

If you haven't got ntpd running, use the ntpdate command (with any time server) to set the clock:

ntpdate time.kfki.hu

I recommend you don't use NTP, block it or disable it if possible.. alot of ntp attacks going around lately.

As far as I know this should do it.

The first step is enough to secure against ntp attacks, if you disable ntpd you can't sync your server's clock automatically and this is a very good idea when you are running a metin2 server where the clock going off can cause big problems.

Mutch better to make a firewall rule to access the ntp port only by the timeserver.
