            self.labelTextList[i].SetOverOutEvent( ui.__mem_func__(self.__ButtonOverOut), i )

SetOverEvent in ui.py or you could add in onupdate a funcion to see the tooltip like

if xxx.IsIn():
 showtooltip
else:
 hidetooltip
