  1. So I found out Ekura is hosted at OVH and I honestly guess they care about DMCA
  2. But they can find my identity as long as I pay for the server, bank account and etc if I am not wrong. How do I find if a hosting company does not care about DMCA?
  3. Hello, I have been reading this forum a lot and noticed some articles about Metin2 private servers and about them being illegal, which is a well known fact. But I do not really understand how is it possible for some huge servers being still online after so many years. Good example is M2 Sindicate, renamed to Ekura. It is a Czechoslovakian server with even more players than czechoslovakian official server and it has already been running for I guess about 11 years and its still alive. I even noticed some of the articles on their forums, it was about them not having Gameforge or any other license, but only stating, they are not running a Metin2 game, but only a game inspired by Metin2. After a years of playing on their server, I can say their game is not really rewritten from scratch as there are bugs from official servers, old Metin2 design, Metin2 item/mob/maps names and etc… If you take a look at it, you will only notice a few new maps, a few new quests and new game ideas, but its obvious its Metin2, no matter whatever they call it. They only renamed M2, Metin2, Mt2 words to something else - is that really enough? How can a huge server like Ekura.cz run for that long without a license? Their statement about license (you may need to translate it from Czech) https://www.ekura.cz/forum/viewtopic.php?t=123153 Can anybody of you explain this?
  4. Its a VPS running on FreeBSD 13.0, with 4GB RAM, 40GB SSD and a CPU with 2 shared cores (2vCPU, shared 1:3), but cannot really tell the frequency, as the hosting company does not have that on their site. Will try to find out. Will provide logs later today.
  5. How does the rank work? It's kind of stupid to have everything double or triple, because of the ranks. Is there a way to apply it for all ranks?
  6. Hello, avoiding using db protos, I would like to asl, whether there is a way to mass-edit txt protos? For example edit min/max yang drop, increase it 2 or 3 times. Would like to avoid switching to db protos and even avoid rewriting one by one as it would take a shitload of time. Already tried to set flags in game, but those only increase the percentual drop chance, not the actual value being dropped. Would be glad for any kind of help. Thanks in advance!
  7. I do not know, whether it's only me, or anybody else, but I'm struggling with starting channels. If I only start channel 1, it works fine, but when I start more than one channel, only the last one gets started. Example: I start 3 channels, but only channel 3 is running and 1-2 are off. When I try to switch it off using close.sh, I get a message saying: Stopping auth.. Stopping channel1/first.. kill: 2107: No such process Stopping channel1/game2.. kill: 2099: No such process Stopping channel1/game1.. kill: 2103: No such process Stopping channel2/first.. Stopping channel2/game2.. Stopping channel2/game1.. Stopping channel3/first.. Stopping channel3/game2.. Stopping channel3/game1.. Stopping channel4/first.. server is not running. Stopping channel4/game2.. server is not running. Stopping channel4/game1.. server is not running. Stopping game99.. Stopping db.. Any idea what could be wrong?
