  1. A Full Set Quest has now been added to the server. It allows you to configure a full set for different levels, choose a skill group, and receive items and gold, making it possible to test the endgame or different parts of the game. 2. Presentation Update We are working hard on fixing the issues reported on the beta server. In the meantime, we have added several new sections to the presentation covering some of the additional systems that have been added to the game recently. 3. Hello everyone, I'd like to introduce our new project, Lorderon. It's a middleschool server with a max level of 120, featuring slower-paced gameplay along with a large number of systems designed to expand and enrich the game experience. That said, our goal was never to cram in hundreds of systems and end up with a cluttered, overstuffed server. Instead, we wanted to pick the right systems, fine-tune the ones that already exist, and above all think carefully about how they connect to each other so that together they'd offer players a truly unique experience. Overview One of the most important things about Lorderon is balance. We've put an enormous amount of time into balancing PvM and PvP, bonuses, items, character boosts, resistances, drops, upgrades, and pretty much every other aspect of the game. Our goal is to create a game that isn't unnecessarily hard, but also doesn't just hand everything to players for free. We want every bit of progress to actually mean something, and for players to feel genuinely good about what they've achieved. Balancing PvP was made even trickier by our decision to add the Lycan class to the game. On top of that, Lorderon is built on a clean 40k core, meaning every system was implemented from scratch. We designed and built a lot of them ourselves, exactly the way we wanted the game to work. Community From the very beginning, we conceived Lorderon as an international project. Right now, the game, website, and presentation are all available in English, Czech, German, Polish, Romanian, and Turkish. We're planning to support more languages down the line. Localization quality really matters to us, so we make sure translations don't feel like generic machine translations, but actually make sense within the context of the game. You can find plenty more information on our website: https://presentation.lorderon.eu/ We're also currently running a closed beta, which you can join by reaching out to us through a ticket on our Discord: https://discord.gg/g4MknW4fNn And that's really the main reason for this presentation. Closed Beta We definitely don't want Lorderon to be just another rushed, throwaway server. The systems we've implemented or built ourselves have gone through a huge number of revisions, and the game's core itself has undergone a major refactor, with dead or unnecessary systems stripped out. That's exactly why we now need to properly stress-test the game. The closed beta has been running for a while, and at this stage we're mainly looking for more players to help us test things, hunt down bugs, and fine-tune the balance across different parts of the game. Our Story Lorderon is primarily driven by me and a second developer. We've been working on the project for almost two years now. We build our own systems, adapt and integrate existing solutions, and also handle quests and other gameplay elements. This is our first Metin project, even though we've been involved in Metin development for nearly ten years. Our goal is to build a genuinely good game one people will still want to come back to years from now. Projects like the original Rubinum and Aeldra have been a big source of inspiration for us. We don't just want to build a game. We want to build a strong community, too, and we know that won't be easy. We don't want to promote the server by spamming Discord servers or sending out unsolicited emails. So we're hoping the community will grow gradually, alongside us. Maybe more slowly than if we poured huge amounts of money into marketing but more naturally, too. Lorderon is all-in for us. This isn't a project we're planning to shut down after a few months and then start over with something new. We want to develop it for the long haul and give it everything we've got. That's why I want to thank everyone who decides to give Lorderon a try, joins our Discord, or takes part in the closed beta. Once we officially launch, all testers will also receive a special costume no bonuses can be added to it, so it'll purely be a keepsake marking their part in the closed beta. On top of that, testers will receive a small amount of Dragon Coins at launch as a thank-you for their time and help during testing. It won't be a large amount though nothing that would give them a significant edge over other players. We don't want to build a pay-to-win server, and we don't want to give testers rewards that would leave them with an extreme advantage over free-to-play players after launch. Thanks to everyone who gives Lorderon a chance.
  4. Problem with compiling the server on a newer compiler Hello, I would like to gradually upgrade my server to a newer standard, but I’m currently facing the first problem, which is the compiler. I have FreeBSD 9.3 32-bit with GCC version 4.2.1. I tried to get compilation on new FreeBSD 13 and 14 with various available GCC versions. I even downloaded a pre-built VDI with FreeBSD 13 and prepared MySQL 5.6, but I keep running into the same issue. First, the server compiled on the new FreeBSD required updated libraries. I solved this by statically linking everything I could into the binary. However, then a second problem appeared: the server prints: Real Server Log OffTHECORE: starting init THECORE: setting up signals THECORE: initializing log and pid THECORE: initializing GOST THECORE: creating heart THECORE: init finished GetIPInfo: skipping interface em0 GetIPInfo: skipping interface em0 GetIPInfo: skipping interface em0 GetIPInfo: found interface em0 IP 10.0.0.118 INTERNAL_IP: 10.0.0.118 interface em0 GetIPInfo: skipping interface em1 GetIPInfo: found interface em1 IP 192.168.56.101 INTERNAL_IP: 192.168.56.101 interface em1 GetIPInfo: skipping interface lo0 GetIPInfo: skipping interface lo0 GetIPInfo: skipping interface lo0 GetIPInfo: skipping interface lo0 INTERNAL_IP -> PUBLIC_IP: 192.168.56.101 HOSTNAME: main-auth GetIPInfo: skipping interface em0 GetIPInfo: skipping interface em0 GetIPInfo: skipping interface em0 GetIPInfo: found interface em0 IP 10.0.0.118 INTERNAL_IP: 10.0.0.118 interface em0 GetIPInfo: skipping interface em1 GetIPInfo: found interface em1 IP 192.168.56.101 INTERNAL_IP: 192.168.56.101 interface em1 GetIPInfo: skipping interface lo0 GetIPInfo: skipping interface lo0 GetIPInfo: skipping interface lo0 GetIPInfo: skipping interface lo0 INTERNAL_IP -> PUBLIC_IP: 192.168.56.101 HOSTNAME: main-ch1-core1 GetIPInfo: skipping interface em0 GetIPInfo: skipping interface em0 GetIPInfo: skipping interface em0 GetIPInfo: found interface em0 IP 10.0.0.118 INTERNAL_IP: 10.0.0.118 interface em0 GetIPInfo: skipping interface em1 GetIPInfo: found interface em1 IP 192.168.56.101 INTERNAL_IP: 192.168.56.101 interface em1 GetIPInfo: skipping interface lo0 GetIPInfo: skipping interface lo0 GetIPInfo: skipping interface lo0 GetIPInfo: skipping interface lo0 INTERNAL_IP -> PUBLIC_IP: 192.168.56.101 HOSTNAME: main-ch1-core2 GetIPInfo: skipping interface em0 GetIPInfo: skipping interface em0 GetIPInfo: skipping interface em0 GetIPInfo: found interface em0 IP 10.0.0.118 INTERNAL_IP: 10.0.0.118 interface em0 GetIPInfo: skipping interface em1 GetIPInfo: found interface em1 IP 192.168.56.101 INTERNAL_IP: 192.168.56.101 interface em1 GetIPInfo: skipping interface lo0 GetIPInfo: skipping interface lo0 GetIPInfo: skipping interface lo0 GetIPInfo: skipping interface lo0 INTERNAL_IP -> PUBLIC_IP: 192.168.56.101 HOSTNAME: main-ch2-core1 GetIPInfo: skipping interface em0 GetIPInfo: skipping interface em0 GetIPInfo: skipping interface em0 GetIPInfo: found interface em0 IP 10.0.0.118 INTERNAL_IP: 10.0.0.118 interface em0 GetIPInfo: skipping interface em1 GetIPInfo: found interface em1 IP 192.168.56.101 INTERNAL_IP: 192.168.56.101 interface em1 GetIPInfo: skipping interface lo0 GetIPInfo: skipping interface lo0 GetIPInfo: skipping interface lo0 GetIPInfo: skipping interface lo0 INTERNAL_IP -> PUBLIC_IP: 192.168.56.101 HOSTNAME: main-ch2-core2 [root@floor-server:~/floor-server]# GetIPInfo: skipping interface em0 GetIPInfo: skipping interface em0 GetIPInfo: skipping interface em0 GetIPInfo: found interface em0 IP 10.0.0.118 INTERNAL_IP: 10.0.0.118 interface em0 GetIPInfo: skipping interface em1 GetIPInfo: found interface em1 IP 192.168.56.101 INTERNAL_IP: 192.168.56.101 interface em1 GetIPInfo: skipping interface lo0 GetIPInfo: skipping interface lo0 GetIPInfo: skipping interface lo0 GetIPInfo: skipping interface lo0 INTERNAL_IP -> PUBLIC_IP: 192.168.56.101 HOSTNAME: main-ch99-core99 The server does not start—it crashes immediately, and the syserr log is empty. This happens on all the newest GCC versions. I’m not an expert in C++ or in this area, so I’m asking if it’s even possible to solve this. I’m not concerned about upgrading the code itself—that’s something I want to tackle later. My main goal is to maintain a functional compiler. I would really appreciate if someone could help me with this;
  5. Perfect, I’m good at breaking stuff, so hopefully I can "bug it" again finally something I’m actually talented at
  6. Hello, I would like to ask if anyone knows how to fix the glow/shining effect of the Rune Sword and other level 105 weapons in modern clients. In the past, on the official servers and older private servers, the Runic Sword had a beautiful reflective shine effect. However, in newer clients this effect seems to be bugged or missing. I believe this issue started when the Wolfman (Lycan) character was added to the official servers, and since then the effect has been broken, even on the official servers as far as I know. Does anyone have a fix, workaround, or any advice on how to restore the old visual effect in newer clients? I would really like to achieve the same look as before. You can see the original effect in this old video. Thanks!
  7. awesome, thank you for sharing
  8. Nice tool thanks.
