How to diagnose db problems?

Hello guys.. I have a massive problem...

Basically.. I shut down the server and was trying to start it again but I simply can't.. db refuses to start (Segmentation fault (core dumped))

I have nothing in syserr or syslog and I simply can't see what is wrong.. Is there any other way to investigate/diagnose db issues?

Unfortunately I can't get gdb to work.

Why ?  Weird.

You can't do anithyng without gdb.
