Changing Empire on Database

Hey guys.

Yesterday i was trying to change my Character's empire on Database and the only field i found was "empire" in Account table.

"empire" field is always 0. I don't know if that is normal but it's always 0. I tried to change it to 1 and 2 but nothing happened. The reason i want this, is to make people choose their Empire when they are registering their account.

 

So my question is, how can i do this? Isn't there a field where i can change the empire manually? Cuz that would be a lot easier.
