Hello!

A while back I decided to make my own private server - for me and my friends only. We were able to set it up via Tailscale, which went easier than we thought.
Our idea with the server would be basically to go back to the roots of the game, how we remember it from back in 2010-2012 era.

Neither of us is a programmer by any means, but we are aware of the steep learning curve this might have. Funnily enough we wanted to start the changes on the client-side, more specifically we chose the UI - even more specifically the Inventory UI. We remembered (maybe wrongly) that the basic Inventory UI looked more like this (old on the left side, new on the right side)

.png.png

- No Costume Button
- No Alchemy Button
- No Belts
- No ItemShop Storage Button
- No Special Storage Button (or whatever the side-button opens)

We had a half-success, because we were able to "delete" the button for the costumes. I say "delete", because while the game did not recognize it as a button anymore, there was still a visible button shape there - funnily enough the button changed from the costume icon to the itemshop storage icon, once it was "removed".

We could not figure out however how to get rid of the button completely. Could somebody please provide help with this?
- We are aware that we need to edit the uiinventory.py and inventorywindow.py inside our chosen locale, but even if we commented out the sections that pointed to this icon, we could not figure out how to get rid of the icon completely.

Could someone please point us to the right direction regarding the above mentioned buttons? (Costume, Alchemy, Belt, ItemShop Storage, Side-Button Storage)

Thank you all in advance!

Update #1 - I managed to change the background of the inventory (equipment_bg_without_ring.tga), change the misaligned slots' coordinates/positions, and successfully removed the costume button, alchemy button and itemshop button.

However I still can't seem to figure out how to get rid of the "belt inventory" - which is the button on the left side of the inventory.

Any ideas?

I managed to hide it by  changing inside the /root/uitaskbar.py:

from this:

self.toggleButtonDict[ExpandedTaskBar.BUTTON_DRAGON_SOUL].SetParent(self)

to this:

        self.toggleButtonDict[ExpandedTaskBar.BUTTON_DRAGON_SOUL].Hide()

It seems to be working.
