[SCRIPT] [3ds MAX 2018] Collision Helper Reviewed by Kolen (original by ahronos)

For huge models, divided into multiple subobjects, parents, etc in the same scene in 3ds max, working on collisions gives you a lot of headaches and can be a waste of time and effort. The script I was using exports all objects that had  "collisionXX" or "heightplanexx" in their name despite being selected or not.

Below I will present to you an updated version that:

  • Exports collisions - only the selected objects!
  • It shows you in the script's mini-gui the selected objects together with the parent of the objects (if any)
  • It confirms you how many collisions (objects) were exported

If you encounter any problems, please let me know.
In the future I would like to work with the scale tool as well, at the moment the script (like the original) cannot read and export changes made with the Scale tool in 3ds, being limited to manual adjustments on the width and height side.

The changes you make You do it at your own risk, that's why I don't offer support. Scripts in 3ds Max are very sensitive and a big pain in the ass.
