I'm excited to share with you a lightweight, modern, and fully-featured Proto Editor tool , designed specifically for editing item_proto and mob_proto files in TSV format (e.g., .txt or .tsv).

This tool is ideal for Metin2 developers or server editors looking for:

• Tabbed interface: switch between item_proto and mob_proto
•  Dropdown selection for enums like type, subtype, flags, etc.
•  Multi-select antiflag/flag dialogs with checkbox lists
•  YAML-based config (item_proto_conf.yaml, mob_proto_conf.yaml) for easy customization
•  Filter rows by any column instantly
•  Ctrl+S quick-save shortcut
•  Auto-handles UTF-8/UTF-16/Latin1 file encoding
•  Safe file overwrite with built-in error handling

Usage:

• Drop your item_proto.txt and mob_proto.txt files into the same folder.
• Use the "Load File" button to open and start editing.
• Customize your *_conf.yaml files to control available values.

• Renamed the tool from ProtoEditor to M2Tool, because it will suport more files edit soon

Major Rewrite:

• Complete rewrite of the application from the ground up.
• Migrated from previous frameworks to pure Win32 API for the UI, resulting in significant performance and size improvements.
• Reduced executable size dramatically — from 200MB to just 5MB.

New Features:

• Self-Updating Mechanism: The app can now automatically update itself to the latest version.
• Logging Support: Introduced detailed usage logging to assist in debugging and monitoring.
• Added possibility to customize colums numbers and colum names in *_conf.yaml

Improvements:

• Numerous bug fixes and optimizations for increased stability and reliability.

Security & Transparency:

• The application is safe to use.
• Full transparency: everyone is free to reverse engineer the binary for inspection.
