upgrading to visual studio 2017

Hey there,

I started using vs17 cause it helps me alot with my study but i can't compile metin2 source code on it due to this error

Error	LNK1104	cannot open file 'libjpeg-MT.lib'

There were other errors but i managed to fix 'em but for this i didn't solve it

Any suggestions ?

Also you can choose an old toolset and you don't need to recompile anything.

it's not a project so i can't build it

They are 5 files with no sln file so i can't build it

I mean, you can use an old one (vs120).

Right click on the project

Properties → Linker → General → Additional Library Directories

and Choose the path . Try it

The problem encountered me but with other file and this was the solution . I Do not know If it will work with you

if it does not work compile cryptopp and lzo with vs2017

one of them should work

For me, I had to compile libjpg, cryptopp and lzo with VS 2017 and got it to work.
