RachadoPT 26
Can anyone please help me installing the FreeBSD 9.2 in my Sfiles? I use the Azylon2 Files (downloaded from **********) and i want to upgrade it to FreeBSD 9.2 . I already tried that tutorial: http://metin2dev.org/board/topic/72-freebsd-9-64-bit-metin2-install but when i use this command in the VirtualBox: " portsnap fetch extract" it says "Looking up update .FreeBSD.org mirrors... none found. Fetching public key from update FreeBSD.org... Failed. No mirrors remaining, giving up." Can anyone help me with that? Greetz, RachadoPT
Premium Shogun 4614 Posted May 25, 2014 Premium Share Posted May 25, 2014 you would need to connect your virtual machine to the internet but I don't know how that's done with virtualbox.
RachadoPT 26
i already tried to use putty, but when i start putty it says "Network error: Connection Refused"... i just put the ip, is SSH and then i press run and it shows that error... :S
.JαyZoN 41
Choose your virtual machine and click on "Settings". Then click on "Network" and choose "Bridged Adapter". After this you have to choose your network card and press OK. If you don't know what your network card is you can search for "view (or show?) network connections" in Windows. Look for the network card which is having access to the internet then.
RachadoPT 26
@.JayZoN i did it but still doesn't find anything, still the same: "Looking up update .FreeBSD.org mirrors... none found. Premium Shogun 4614 Posted May 26, 2014 Premium Share Posted May 26, 2014 Do you have a DNS server in /etc/resolv.conf?

Premium Shogun 4614 Posted May 26, 2014 Premium Share Posted May 26, 2014 Try: ping 8.8.8.8 to verify you are actually connected to the internet, if you are (pings are responded) then: ee /etc/resolv.conf And in this file enter just this: nameserver 8.8.8.8 Save, exit, and try to fetch again. RachadoPT 26
When i do ee /etc/resolv.conf i change the "domain" to " ***.no-ip.org" , the "nameserver" to " *ip* " and the " 4.2.2.3" to " 8.8.8.8 " ? is that it?
Premium Shogun 4614 Posted May 26, 2014 Premium Share Posted May 26, 2014 the file must contain just this nameserver 8.8.8.
RachadoPT 26
but should i change the nameserver to the ip or something like that, or stay nameserver 8.8.8.8 ?
Premium Shogun 4614 Posted May 26, 2014 Premium Share Posted May 26, 2014 8.8.8.8 is not an example, it's Google's DNS server

.JαyZoN 41
It's a DynDNS-Server? If yes; you have to open some ports to connect external. Set 'Exposed Host' in the port filter in your router. (only for a test!)
