As you know, in the previous metin2 files, animations could be exported for the Objects/Buildings props inside metin2, to have animated objects/buildings in game basically. With this new files you can't animate an object with this tecnique.
Anyone knows why? Or how to solve this? Or how to cheat on that in other ways?

Hello again guys. I'm finally back to do some 3D stuff for metin. After more than 3 years, basically I lost all my knowledge for metin
I've got few questions:
- I noticed that the opacity channel for a 3D model, is not working for a building into metin. Is that right? and if there is any way to achive that, shall I ask you to tell me?
- If I want to create a big big 3D model as a mob, seems like the collision spheres are not working for big things even if I put more then one of 'em, the collision after a certain point in the "grid" is not working anymore. There is any way to have a big mob, with collision and possibility to attack and kill it?
For now I've got just this 2 questions..

Those weapons are really nice, but I've got just this feeling: aren't they to similar, are they? I mean.. More than usual... I think more variation should work better, but really good set anyway

Main problems on this model, and main reason not to use it in game:
- UVs not matching the geometry perfectly, that's why the black line in the middle of the face. You should fix this easily.
- Textures, not matching metin2 style... you should work them out on PS.
- Proportions... Absolutely wrong.. At least get the proportion right.
Just some suggestions for a better work the next time Keep it going with ripped stuffs

Just want to ask you guys, if there are news about the directx 9 conversion into metin2 which could bring us the possibility to use normal maps inside our geometry and it would be fantastic...
I just saw a graphic mod from emb presets which isn't what we need actually... So, any news? I'm not updated in the last news on metin2, that's why I'm asking :D :D

Oh, come on dude... Even if the licence prize will be 15k euro (come on..... Just the license of granny studio is 20k Dollars ) and EVEN if ymir will give license to "x-people" (they definitely don't, will be really odd if they actually do sell the license to everyone interested on...) without any sort of gaming studio to work with, like you I suppose, if I were you I won't buy any license for a dead game with more more more than 1000 of p-servers around the world.
You have got the private, just play with them and use your money for something smarter than investing on Metin mate ... Just a suggestion, nothing personal actually .. People can spend money as they like
But is just like: flushing the money into the toilet...
ps: as I do know, right now you have all the source files in cpp for server and client... Better than this

Maybe you have read this in the other post, but maybe not...
I need from you guys this skeletons imported in 3ds max 7, the right skeletons if you have got those...
- Shamy female
- Sura Male and female
- Ninja female
- War male
If it possible I need them in 3ds max format...
Or at least I need to know if even to you guys, when you import the gr2 into 3ds max 7 of, for example, the female shaman, you get a wrong skeleton like this:
In this case, just one boob, shoulders completely messed up, and just the left side (with the right side over it) of the armor..
Please guys I do really need this help

Nothing ... same problem...
I've done a manual re-orient, matching perfectly bones and orient as metin's skeletons. Bone without any rotation in the rot-channels:
But still got this output converting it in Granny:
Any ideas??? And, I repeat, this happens just for Female Shaman, Female Ninja, Female Shura, Male Shura, Male Ninja

I did probably find a solution, looking at the bones they have rotation, and a skeleton bones shouldn't have rotation in the axis but just orient translation... I'll try, let me check and I'll tell you

Hello again guys... That's another problem which is bothering me...
Need to know why some skeletons, like:
- Shaman girl
- War Male
- Sura male and girl
- Ninja girl
Are not perfectly matching the meshes when I do the nwn2 import of the gr2 skeleton in 3ds Max 7. I mean, like the boobs of the Shamy in the skeleton are not mirrored and in position... They are on each other... and, obviously, the animation is not working and the skin is completely wrong in that spot...
I need to fix this for correct skinning and animation process...
I did try to create my bones with rotation axis perfectly matching the axis of Granny viewer model.. It was working but not 100% and I don't really know why...

If you are learning 3Ds max because of metin2, just leave it..... If you want to learn 3Ds max for something bigger than metin2, I reccomend digitaltutors.com

I know that this question should be a bit strange but... Basically, this is my problem:
I'm working on animations and 3D models and I decided to test 'em inside metin2. I litterally copied over sura_notice.gr2 and the other sura_notice_lod_1.gr2 ececcc, another 3D model in granny format inside the PC pack. I did repack and I replaced the PC.epk files into the pack folder of my client...
What's next?... Basically, is not working... The 3D model hasn't changed and it is still the normal sura_notice.gr2...
So, I decided to do some tests... I literally deleted pc.epk and pc.eix from the pack folder of my client and:
It was working anyway. Sura male, warrior male eccecc, were working without pc.epk pack...So, another test:
I unpacked everything to see if the pc folder was inside other packs.. but... nothing...If anyone has got the same problem, please help me

That's the weirdest thing I've ever read.. Wha't does it mean they have connections or good hardware.. He's talking about local ram issues
Anyway, Immenso has resolved with me. It was just his new packer creating memory issues. No memory leaks or other stuffs
