  2. You just need to create a grass asset and put it inside the map. Literally a 10 minutes job. Let's breakdown what I just said: 1a) Create a low poly mesh and apply a grass texture. (10-20 planes, scale them and move some vertices. 2 minute job) 1b) Found a low poly grass mesh (everywhere online or in other games models) 1 p.s.) The fewer poligons the better. Lag is not your friend. 2) Export them from your 3D package with gr2 extension as a static model if you like it static, animated if you want it animated (if so, you need to create an animation for it.. nothing difficult but this will increase the size of the grass itself and so, the lag) 3) Create the metin2 needs for the gr2 asset (zone, property etc etc).. "paperwork" to implement things into the client. 4) Open your map editor and if you did everything right you can choose the grass to populate the map in the asset TAB. 5) Relax and put the grass wherever you like.

  4. Asking this kind of stuff here is pointless, nobody will answer you for 2 mainly reasons: - They don't even know what you are talking about. (99% of them) - If they know, they won't tell you the fix. At least they will sell you the fix even if it is 2 stupid things. (1% of them) Contact me on skype for every 3D problem as you already did once, even if I'm at work, as you know, I'll answer you . It is a easy fix problem what you have, text me later. Cheers PhiLL

  6. No, My Grandma I do think that he asked you this: "who made the character modeling/sculpting/texturing?". And the answer isn't your grandma or you. Your grandma/you did just a basic skinning from existing bones of the wolfman on some 3D ripped models. Don't be a jerk with others where you can't dude. He just asked you a simple question. Upon that, quite a nice project. A bit out for metin2 I guess relating to all the other characters, but nice. Looking forward. I didn't used any of Wolfman resources and i can Prove that! I already apologized for the answer, i was just kidding And by the way.. if you search on the forum, you will find an older presentation of berserker that's older than wolfman Yes my bad I watched the video now and the bones are from another gaming skeleton, anyway the resorces you've used isnt of "your grandma", that's the point But if it was a joke, that's ok The creation of a new character from zero (3D talking) for metin2 is just a waiste of time, so you are doing well using other stuff Looking forward to see this bad guy inside the game

  8. Becouse they have connections, becouse people work for them becouse they have good hardware optimized like their own PC That's the weirdest thing I've ever read.. Wha't does it mean they have connections or good hardware.. He's talking about local ram issues Anyway, Immenso has resolved with me. It was just his new packer creating memory issues. No memory leaks or other stuffs

  10. As you know, in the previous metin2 files, animations could be exported for the Objects/Buildings props inside metin2, to have animated objects/buildings in game basically. With this new files you can't animate an object with this tecnique. Anyone knows why? Or how to solve this? Or how to cheat on that in other ways? Thanks in advance for your help Cheers

  12. Hello again guys. I'm finally back to do some 3D stuff for metin. After more than 3 years, basically I lost all my knowledge for metin I've got few questions: - I noticed that the opacity channel for a 3D model, is not working for a building into metin. Is that right? and if there is any way to achive that, shall I ask you to tell me? - If I want to create a big big 3D model as a mob, seems like the collision spheres are not working for big things even if I put more then one of 'em, the collision after a certain point in the "grid" is not working anymore. There is any way to have a big mob, with collision and possibility to attack and kill it? For now I've got just this 2 questions.. Thanks in advance guys, cheers!

    Main problems on this model, and main reason not to use it in game: - UVs not matching the geometry perfectly, that's why the black line in the middle of the face. You should fix this easily. - Textures, not matching metin2 style... you should work them out on PS. - Proportions... Absolutely wrong.. At least get the proportion right. Just some suggestions for a better work the next time Keep it going with ripped stuffs
  16. Thank you.. just another question: Bump maps or normal maps have been tested in this client mod?
  17. Just want to ask you guys, if there are news about the directx 9 conversion into metin2 which could bring us the possibility to use normal maps inside our geometry and it would be fantastic... I just saw a graphic mod from emb presets which isn't what we need actually... So, any news? I'm not updated in the last news on metin2, that's why I'm asking :D :D Cheers
  18. Oh, come on dude... Even if the licence prize will be 15k euro (come on..... Just the license of granny studio is 20k Dollars ) and EVEN if ymir will give license to "x-people" (they definitely don't, will be really odd if they actually do sell the license to everyone interested on...) without any sort of gaming studio to work with, like you I suppose, if I were you I won't buy any license for a dead game with more more more than 1000 of p-servers around the world. You have got the private, just play with them and use your money for something smarter than investing on Metin mate ... Just a suggestion, nothing personal actually .. People can spend money as they like But is just like: flushing the money into the toilet... ps: as I do know, right now you have all the source files in cpp for server and client... Better than this
