    • A new custom profile field (like custom profile field for Marketplace) has been created for Metin2 game servers, this is displayed in all of the member's posts. Edit your profile to take advantage of this new feature (like me).

    Links to competing forums are only tolerated if the content of the link is related to the latest posts, for example: a response to a request for help if Metin2 Dev does not have the information, during a public debate... Keep in mind that this is tolerated, if you abuse it for no good reason you can be penalized. Take advantage of missing content to improve Metin2 Dev by creating a new tutorial.

    The title of your topic should be clear and understandable. It must match the content of your message.

    You are not allowed to remove releases you did. Abusive editing of a topic and / or post whose purpose is to remove the content is prohibited.

    It's not allowed to give your / our social media contact information (skype, discord...) in public topics / posts or signatures, only via private message.

    Advertising is available for metin2 private servers or the marketplace for sellers. No hidden advertising will be approved. We reserve the right to kick a member from the discord server and / or modify their profile on the forum if we detect a hidden advertisement.

    Metin2 Dev is a platform where you share your knowledge about Metin2, games improvements and systems development.

    You can sell things on Metin2 Dev if you follow these terms. The following rules must be strictly respected in order for a member to publish his paid service. Failure to comply with the sales and service rules on Metin2 Dev will result in the deletion of your topic without any justification. Failure to comply with the sales and service rules will result in your product page being disapproved.

    Know that a member who has just registered can't immediately create a product page. A prolonged inactivity of a member, will see his product page archived and / or deleted without notice. Also, no restoration will be considered if the product page has been deleted.

    Behavior

    Don't flame at other users. You maybe want help and everybody started with no or little knowledge. We don't want to see any racism, sexism or homophobia...

    Don't generate a negative atmosphere intentionally, if someone said something you dislike debate them without engaging in combative behaviour (if its offensive report it instead), and be kind and susceptible to amend the situation with kindness.

    Attack ideas, not people, arguments must be directed at other arguments, not at people. This includes both the people that you are arguing with and third parties such as ethnic groups, sexual minorities, and other groups.

    Don't push boundaries or be edgy simply for its own sake. Only say things that you actually want to say, not simply things that you expect to get reaction out of people.

    Extremist / negative nationalism, Religion attacks, Homophobia, Racism, Xenophobia, Misandry/Misogyny are heavily forbidden, also making hints that support these views by things like wordplay are also contextually sanctionable.

    Don't give the impression of trying to trivialize horrific events such as death or assault. Show basic respect for the value of human life and dignity.

    Profanity is not disallowed but requires allowed context, for example emphasizing a phrase that is not meant to be negatively offensive in nature, nevertheless use it with moderation.

     

    The updated rules apply immediately. There will be a tolerance over a few days (For a preventive purpose) regarding the behavior.

    Discord

    The Discord is not an advertising area, it's not allowed to advertise your services, except for a member mentioning the seller to obtain information about these products or a recommendation from another member.

    The seller is authorized to post product updates in the #sales-service text channel. Sellers should use this channel reasonably for everyone's convenience, no bump is tolerated, otherwise the dedicated rank can be withdrawn.

    Promote

    A seller's content can be promoted if the seller is active in the Metin2 Dev community. The content will be promoted in two ways, the seller's topics in the marketplace will be pinned and the seller can choose the topic to highlight in the dedicated marketplace advertising, subject to providing an advertising banner. Banner size: 728x90. The highlight is only available on the marketplace platform.

    To be considered active within the Metin2 Dev community, you can either provide your help to members in the adequate section. Share things, might it be scripts, maps, 3d models, 2d graphics, quests or systems... Publish something new for the Metin2 Dev community!

    We take the period of the last 3 / 6 months to check seller activity on Metin2 Dev. If the seller is no longer active, the topics will no longer be promoted and the dedicated advertising disabled.

    The archive is encrypted with a password to bypass anti-virus and browser security (automatic).

    Introduction

    Today, I'm the sole administrator and owner of this community, but also of a French community (of which I'm also the sole administrator and owner). Carrying out the integral, technical, financial and also community management. I develop and maintain the platforms revolving around it with Metin2 Download and Top Metin2 and who knows, maybe more tomorrow. Between personal life, professional life and these passions, it takes me time, far too much time and I can no longer follow all these projects.

    That's why I want to recruit new people in the Metin2 Dev team and also to delegate tasks in order to focus more on the development of this wonderful community. There are different ranks available that you can apply for: Chief of Staff, Discord Manager, Forum Manager, Wiki Manager, Global Moderator and Discord Moderator. Currently, no end date for recruitment.

    The moderation of the forum is chill, however the Discord server requires a more active presence of the moderation team to make this communication media, a pleasant and respectful place. The first mission of the team is the revision of the rules of the community in order to make Metin2 Dev, a peaceful place where all members are welcome and where toxic or disturbing behaviors, disrespect, controversial subjects and excessive trolls are prohibited.

     

    Informations

    The moderator or manager of the community must be present as often as possible. They are, moreover, active and well-known members of the community, although there are always exceptions.

    More generally, any website or community platform offering interaction between members is monitored by the moderation team, which will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the rules and maintaining peace and love. To do this, it will have at its disposal moderation tools that only moderators and administrators can use. The moderator should not be present for repressive purposes but for preventive purposes: he helps above all, establishes dialogue and sanctions as a last resort. It should be neutral and social. When moderation is necessary on his own topic or post or there may be a conflict of interest, the team member must discuss it with his superior before taking any action that may be considered an abuse of power.

    Unlike the moderator, the manager is the community referent and has delegations including the management of community rules. He proposes, writes and implements the rules with the help of moderation, after validation by the administration. He is also responsible for coordinating the team and managing internal affairs. He accompanies and participates with the moderators, in the moderation of the community.

    Just like the members, the members of the team can propose ideas, evolutions to improve the community and its functioning.

    Ultimate Screenshots & Videos Update | Dead Medias? Never Again!

     Important update of Metin2Dev! 

     

     The end of... Dead  screeshots and dead videos! 

    Here, your favorite Administrator, or not. 🥺 Sorry, I got carried away. I announce the end of several days, several weeks of work on Metin2Dev. This project is the continuation of the initial project, to preserve the resources of this community. #DeadDownloadLinks #NeverAgain At the beginning of 2020, after purchasing Metin2Dev, Metin2Shack was created (A duplicate of Funky Shack, the former host of my French forum), an picture host for members of the Metin2Dev community. 😋

    My goal was to avoid dead pictures. 💀 Well aware that I can't force anyone to use a platform, I took advantage of the migration from Metin2Shack to Metin2Download to create a cron job that will take care of automatically download and transfer pictures from the forum and replace them with a M2DL link. The migration process is automatic, transparent for members and the community is improved! 🥰

    Now, Metin2Download will be the screenshots and videos """ proxy """ for the whole community and screenshots original URLs will be overwritten and videos are converted into GIF, the original video is kept within Metin2Download (and can therefore be re-converted at any time). In some cases, the video can't be converted to GIF, a new route (https://metin2.download/video/{key}/.{extension}) has been created to host these videos.

    Indeed, viewing a post and finding that the pictures or videos are dead is frustrating. Now, it's over! 🙂 Of course, pictures and videos that are already dead, will remain dead. :kekw: I don't have the power to raise the dead yet... 🤨 But, I'm working on it... 🥺 Always concerned to offer the best Metin2Dev community. 💪

     

    PS: Let me know if some screenshots or videos were not migrated to Metin2Download, SQL & PHP REGEX should encompass all URLs containing a media.

    It won't happen here, I check the global moderation history of the forum every day. I may not always see a deleted question, I restore the post and the topic author will get warning points.
