It depends on how large the images are. 

They need to be 16x12 pixels straight.

It is also possible that you tried to rename a .png photo in a .jpg , convert it using photoshop

Try this

 

 

Edit:// Also if you can't see icons ( Near the guild name ) , update your serverinfo with the right port for mark connection .
