Help with creating a server

Hello,

I want to create a small server for oldschool lovers like myself, but I haven't worked with the whole topic for a longer time

and honestly I don't know where to start.

Is anybody (pref. german) out there, who want's to help me?
I have no clue what FreeBSD version to take, what serverfiles, etc.

 

The most important thing is to chose the right serverfiles and get them to work.

Once that's done I can do most of the stuff I want to change, but I might need some help from there, too.
