mysql problem

I tried re-installing the MySQL but the same thing...what should I do ?

i tried to start it manual but dosent work

root@metin2:~ # /usr/local/etc/rc.d/mysql-server status
mysql is not running.
root@metin2:~ # /usr/local/etc/rc.d/mysql-server start
Starting mysql.
root@metin2:~ # /usr/local/etc/rc.d/mysql-server status
mysql is not running.

 

how i can solve it?
