Version of Unix for Server and SSH Conf

Recommended Posts

Hello.

I have question what version of unix is the best for mt2 server? Its must be FreeBSD or can be something else like Debian e.g.?

Second thing what net adapter should i check for VM? When i have NAT or Bridge in VMWare i can connect to SSH by PuTTY but only from this same host (by local ip) but if trying connect by public ip i only see "Network error: Connection refused". In VM i have internet connection and can check any website without any problems.

Thanks for help :)

For production purposes  only Freebsd it's supported, however you have the source available, so you can port it to any system.

If you want to connect to your VM with your public IP, you need to use a bridge network interface and configure a static IP, then you need to redirect all metin2 ports in your router to the vm or enable a dmz to your vm.
