Upgrade to 40k/34K game

Hey today i want to upgrade my server from my 2089M game to 34k or 40k game. But now i´ve seen that many pathes are changing and i think many other important files need to be changed too. So is my question: Is there a tutorial how i can easily upgrade my server and client to a newer revision, without lose my serverfiles? Kind Regards ExoBiTe
