No, I wouldn't say it is. The files are good, they work, that's not the problem. The problem is the lack of customer service. You can't contact anyone if something not working and it's not part of the base server file. A friend of mine was trying to put in the sash system, doing everything well as it was in the tutorial but the game cannot compile. He wrote to TMP4 but he only got the answer to ask his question publicly otherwise he doesn’t help him because "private help doesn’t help the community". (WTF?!) So if you stuck with an error, you won’t get private help from him. Obviously, you can't ask every question in public for several reasons, and what a lame to ask everything in public anyway...

I only recommend using this release if you are not a beginner or already have a developer on your team. Otherwise look for another release where there is a customer support, because believe me, you need it especially as a beginner.

It is the most beginner friendly stuff I ever seen. @ TMP4 makes an impressive job helping people here, even if he do it only publicly. Also the sash problem is not belongs to him, even server files what have customer service not doing such job. For example if you buy Marty's advanced server file, he will not help you to install 3rd systems. (Not to mention Marty's answering rate, like you have to wait months for an answer even if you had paid..)

But I don't get the whole concept of a customer service for a free server file. Like why the hell would be TMP4 required to run a customer service?

    Spoiler

Otherwise look for another release where there is a customer support

Can you mention at least one? A free one. I can't. Paid server files are better I know but even they don't come with such type of customer service what you are talking about. (And usually the support are even worse than what TMP4 provide here!)

  2. @ TMP4 I'm impressed how you keep answering to all these stupid questions and self made errors what you have nothing to do with.
People would try to do the same with paid serverfiles they would get no answer or a straight block ? Like Marty's answer rate is like weeks and months and I'm sure he doesn't even answer stupid questions and errors what he had nothing to do with.

My only regret is that you could also spend this time making an advanced versions of your files what I was talking about few days earlier.

Won't happen. Not because of the fear of Gameforge (that's the smaller part) but my country's rules with self employed activities. You cannot do anything, we have a list of activities what you can take as self employed. Selling Metin2 files certainly not in that list ? Some folks choose a similar activity like it engineering work or so but that does not make it legal (not to mention copyright infringement) and the black work is not an option for me, I like sleeping safe at nights ?

A quick explaination to you why did I choose this reference concept: I just wanted to give people a solid base on which to build your "own house".
While the idea of creating a new branch for an improved version sounds good, that is totally out of scope with my concept. Hope you can understand it.

    Merry christmas guys ?

That sucks. By the way people not really builds their home but buy one ? But I got what you wanted to express.
I sent you a message please read it.

Sorry, but why would he work for you? Or for anyone that wants "more features" in general? Why should he lose his time (a price as you called it)?

If you want that, either implement them by yourself, either hire him (if he accepts of course).

You are right. But then the new version could be priced as like 100€. Then people could choose over the basic free and the advanced version. It would be good for him.

Its not suppose to compete with anything
    its a free release

What the fuck are you on?

Why are you attacking me over several posts? I just wrote my opinion and suggestions, nothing more.

    But this isnt paid?

Thats why you have to add everything yourself?

Are you actually dumb or you playin?

The concept is more than correct, you just dont understand it lol

You don't understand what I explained to you. Please read again.
It is "free", it is "good", but it can not compete with it's competitors.

@ TMP4 I have a final suggestion. I think it would be good for everyone.
Do a seperate branch. Like master and develop, just reference and advanced for example. While you leave the reference in this old style, you can implement new but original features to the advanced branch like my list contains above.

    are you clapped?
reference 40k files did not have these features, just add them yourself.
why are you even talking about pricing the files?
HELLO ITS A FREE RELEASE WHAT

Then the concept is just wrong.

Price does not always mean currency but time for example. How long it will take for you to open the server. Only after you can you profit from it. To know this, if you choose a paid solution, you get your income faster. Hope you now understand.

  7. Ok so I want to help you to make this serverfile better, I made a list what to implement and improve.

-4 Inventory and 6 skill preinstalled
-Won system or Max gold (or both)
    -Sash system
-Custome mount with the mount system renewal
-Add the newer weapons, armors, accessories (lv115-120)
-Add some newer original map like Nemere, Meley, Ochao

I know it could take a couple day, but then it would worth the price.
