This would not help you much in regards of performance.
Metin2's bottleneck is rather the the updating&rendering of enteties and their motions, besides the thousands of effect particles rendered one by one.

Have you ever tried to compile server files on a 64bit machine? You can do that, but you need a 32bit jail.
The server files cannot be compiled on a 64bit machine, so the maximum is 4GB per channel. The problem exists because 32-bit libraries are used that are not compatible with 64-bit.
You are wrong.
Just compile the libraries also with -march=x86-64.

Even if you have a 64bit machine. The server files are compiled on and for 32bit.
So means:
Theoretically max 4GB RAM for channelI can't specify any other parameters.
Why would you compile the server files on 32bit? There is literally no gain from that.

So what, It's the best toplist out there, they give a shit about players.
It's a good site, never noticed anything bad nor would this be unethical if they would be connected, there seems to be no abuse, actually it's the only toplist that has real traffic and is not #1-#15 only votebotted.

If you'd show a practical example of the performance improvement or comparison, that would make it more attractive for people.

There is no lag in the first place if you'd cache the motions of the entities.

Interesting choice of community manager, the guy who created items on metin2.tr and sold them on black market, over years till gameforge found out.
Thats just one of the things he did. Makes me wonder how corrupt your game will be, in case there will be some players.
