No solution is that complex + the more accessible it is the easier is the way to find a backdoor/workaround. I guess that is what @DrTurk was trying to say. Corporations hire the best of the best and still there are ways to f.e. annihilate a windows network in less than a few hours and you can do shit about that.

At first change the name of the shitty korean directiories since it is only causing problems and it is really not that important as the ID itself. At second I cannot even imagine what could've happened with your property IDs. I work with WE since it is out and I've never really had such a problem not even with the older versions. Maybe you just replaced it unwillingly without even knowing it? What version of WE do you use?

Open the .mse file with WorldEditor. You can set either the animation delay or lenght of the loop or velocity etc... just try different options and you will find out how to do that.

Hello guys,
I use 3ds from the topic bellow.I've never really had problems with anything until now. I've figured out that some of the objects (even those created by ymir, f.e. bridges from flame dungeon) cannot be loaded properly. First of all I convert the object with gr2to3ds tool that you can get all over the internet (here I choose "yes" for all of the export options) and then just drag the exported .ms file into 3ds Max and that is when the issue starts. Normally I even cannot spot the process, the object is just loaded and I can do whatever I want with it. However, with some objects, as mentioned above, it is not possible because as I drag the file into 3ds it either crashes without any error message or it freezes while there is a MaxScript window which seems to be causing the problem. This lasts from 5 to 30 seconds and after that an error message appears telling me that the MaxScript module is out of memory and thus the object cannot be loaded.
Maybe it is not an 3ds issue, I don't know. And that is why I ask here. Has anyone of you ever faced this problem?

Am I missing something? What I was trying to say is:
1) that if the player realizes that the feature is not a serverside feature then he can simply use f.e. process monitor to scan what does your binary do to his filesystem, registry, etc.. and right after that it is really easy to delete the file or folder
2) that there is no reason to create the file or folder (I think it does not matter since it's just a breaking point) outside of the client's folder because it is pretty rude.
What else do you want to delete?
EDIT: Now I gotcha. My bad. I was two steps forward but forgot to make the first one. -

Cool idea. But imho rather a system hidden file property could be applied instead of creating a file out of the client's folder. I know you called it an ugly_ban and that it is supposed to block ugly_people but still I find it unnecessary. Every player blocked will think of it as a server bound process unless he is able to track down your steps. In that case he is also able to remove the file all over again to unban himself and then whatever path becomes useless.

I managed to fix this but I have no idea how.. I just woke up started up my WE loaded the map and the objects were gone.. even thought i had that bug for couple of days and I was trying to resolve it.. I'm gonna try your idea next time it happens, I'm doing a lot of maps right now so it's probably gonna be soon. I think this is might be some memory leak or other shit because the first time it happen to me was when I was changing the terrain textures I loaded up a new texture WE "refresh" and my objects were gone.
Yep, it might be related to cache or something. Next time try to reboot your PC ahah.

Sometimes object will just fully bug out and it's impossible to fix it..I tried changing the height directly in AreaData.txt but nothing happens, i tried removing the file nothing happens, i removed all the AreData files still nothing happen.. I literally have no clue what is causing this.. This happen twice to me on two different maps.
Hmmm, recently I faced this too but restart of the WE made it for me. Did you try to T and F6? What version of WE do you use?

Does not the cube.txt have an "allow_copy" attribute that copies and transfers the bonuses and stones to the new item if it's set to 1? I guess it is a native function of the cube but if I am wrong you could take a look at this thread and do the same for stones.
EDIT: I just noticed that you said that the bonuses are kept in your item. Then you probably need the second option. -
I might be wrong but from the first time I changed the names of these "japanese" folders (ca. 8 yrs ago) I never ever had a problem with anything related to the property pack/folder. Ehh. Just rename it? It does not matter what's the name, the property will be registred in any case. Change my mind.

If you want to save the atlas correctly you have to load the map, press T to set the camera to angle from that all the objects are visible, then press F6 to re-render the shadows (it may take some time) and finally you can press the save atlas button which will save the atlas to your WorldEditor folder.

and one time i made map 7x7 1 month work when i finshed it try to have the atlas map it show me old texters evry time i do atlas map save why that ??
Did you press T to set the correct view and then F6 to re-render the shadow and minimap .dds images?

Lately I faced this problem too. If I remember well I just replaced all the 6th skill files within the pc/pc2 archive with files from different client and all started working perfectly.

Hi devs,
this is rather nothing than something and I am not really sure if somene's done it earlier but I am sure that it could be a nice improvement for those who are into mapping just like me.
The archive contains a few .mdatr files of buildings from the devils_dragon_update that I improved. From now on you will be able to walk through the gazebo, to visit some of the tents and to get closer to the buildings in general.
I might be sharing a lot more stuff related to mapping in the future.
Credits goes to Ace for a nice collision HowTo.
