Hi, my problems:
1029 21:55:36760 :: Unknown packet header: 109, last: 45 81
I compile bin in mainline_released or novaline
Game compile is novaline.
Client crash when loading game (100%)
I dont think its a problem with the game core.
And to all the others: Sry that i didn't gave alot of support. I stoped working with m2 2 weeks after this release and i have forgot most of the stuff i made to make this work.

Im not able to seed sry. My upload speed is only 50kb/s and i dont seed torrents from my workplace where i have 2,2mb upload

Sometimes the download is corrupted, try to download it again it should work then. Waht kinda system are u using?

So i download with my Vserver and install my Private serverfiles and upload it on mega for you Uploa speed 62 MB
I have to make some big changes in the VM as well, fix some bugs in the source (internal ip e.g), add a script that put's the game in
the right place inside the serverfiles and renames the old so you guys will have a betther workflow. I also forgot to add the libs ^^

What I don't understand is: Why do so many people copy the source to /usr/src ?
This directory is used for the FreeBSD source code and normally you don't put your own stuff there.
You can move the source where you want. I started to put my sources in there 4 years ago and never changed something ^^
Mean you before 4 jears a meitn2 source?
The Metin2 source is not the only thing you can work with on FreeBSD

Hi,
As requested by some users i have you a VM with FreeBSD 9.2 32bit, novaline source and pre installed Ports so
you can compile the game. It was like 10 minutes of work to enter the commands so no thanks needed.

To compile the game:
cd /usr/src/novaline/Srcs/Server/game/src gmake clean gmake -j20

€: There are no Serverfiles on this VM because i dont have test serverfiles. If someone have Serverfiles for me i'll implement them and upload
an updated version of this VM.

Hi,
Because i don't have a own server or ideas what i could do with the source i thought i could ask you.
I'm searching for small feautures i could add to the source or bug's to fix. Just post your ideas below.
Ofc i'll release the things i do for free here on the Forum. Please dont ask for big things like adding a new class or
something like that, i've to work 8h a day so i don't have time and also not enought knowledge about 3d moddeling and stuff for sutch things ^^

Ofc you have to update to the current Version. The whole thing would be a shitload of work for a performance improofment of maybe 20%. Doesn't worth it at all.

You would have to rewrite the speedtree stuff as well but the current version of speedtree supports directx9, 10 and 11 so that shouldn't be a Problem ^^ Or a small Problem compared to update to directx9

I never mentioned the engine I just said that only port to opengl wont make the game look great magically, it would only give you possibilities to make and use betther model's while running at the same cpu/gpu consumption. But i think we thought about diffrent things and didn't realized it

OpenGL has not mutch to do with the look of the game, maybe the antialiasing would be betther but if the 3d Models and textures dosn't look good (what is the case in metin2) the end result wouldn't be betther in OpenGL OpenGL doesn't convert shitty 3d models to hyper realistic human beings.
Map Textures are shitty in Metin2. But the 3D engine is a really good one. You can do some really high detailed stuff with that
I talk about the model's of the characters, and they are really not good .... even counterstrike 1.6 has betther character model's

Opengl porting is overkill noone is experienced enough to port a whole game from DX8 -> OpenGL
It would be possible with a team of 3 ore more ppl, but the amount of time spent for this compared to the improvement doesn't worth it at all. With 90%( price aounrd 200€) of the prebuilt workstation's on the market you can play Metin2 without any problems. So why invest 100's of houres to make the game playable for 95% of ppl with shitty computers?

OpenGL would be awesome, but and thats the point, it's mutch mutch easyer to convert dxX to dxY than dxX to Opengl. You would have to rewrite everything.
