Thanks for this release Martysama. I'm grateful someone is doing this for the community.

For those who mention bigger textures, they aren't going to make a lot of difference. They are a performance hit tough. Mixing textures properly will achieve a better look than using huge ones. Particularly matching textures to different terrain shapes.

(If you look at games from around the same time like for example Skyrim, they are using textures of the same size as Metin. But their 3D engine supports things like bumpmaps or dynamic lighting which make them look way better)

I guess the bug comes from ilGetInteger(IL_IMAGE_BPP).

DusKp2R.png

265797632*512*512 doesn't seem a very good expression there.

By default ilBpp should be 4. I can directly put 4 there, and it would work fine.

Don't worry about it, it was probably me who did something wrong, @ToXiC4000 already helped by replacing the files i had in ymir work folder by his, it is working now!

It's upset here and there, I can agree.

This method here is the easiest (for me personally) to deal with. It's called:

Ymir Entertainment was founded in 1999 in Seoul, Korea and
is currently headed by Byoung Gwan Kim as CEO. The company
started developing its first 2D online game Metin the same
year it was founded. The game was commercially launched in
Korea a year later and received a prize from the Korean
Ministry of Information and Communication in December of the
same year. Following the success of their flagship game Ymir
Entertainment immediately started work on the game’s sequel
Metin 2, which went into Closed Beta in Korea in May 2004.
The game was officially launched in Korea and China in March
2005 before being launched in Asia, Europe and North America
in the years that followed. In January 2011 all of the company’s
shares were bought by Webzen Inc., a Korean game giant known for
their popular MMORPG, MU Online. The company was also awarded

Has nothing to do with working sloppily, because this cannot be solved only by doing what you did especially on big mountains. What about your sloppily work with that texture quality ? You used big textures set on a small area that resulted in those black lines

I'm a mean person, hate me.

After i just lost like 2 Hours of work in the newest Version, id like to recommend that you could start to build an Optional Autosave function for Maps into the Tool for like every 5 Minutes or so, It Crashed after i changed some Textures. if its possible it would help some Guys alot i think

If it's enabled by default, some people would find it annoying.

If it's disabled by default, you'll still lose everything again.

I should add a checkbox in plain sight close to the Load button for the [_] autosave feature.

Thats what i was thinkin of, "it was enabled ? okay? weird" , Also a "Save as" button were also a nice thing, so you didnt have to rename for example "sample basic Maps" if you know what i mean, only if you want

A short tutorial on how to move a nested tree.

222800uriel2.gif

There's no need to select another object to move it.

You can do something weird like this:

https://metin2.download/picture/jTbKQ8RS7HAH8O4m26IqLeHwQ62tmS1Z/.gif

Selected tree + MouseWheel + 9|0 (SHIFT and CTRL for 10x and 100x speed multiply)

; # MouseWheel+9	move selected object x position (1x) (+asyncronous)
; # MouseWheel+0	move selected object y position (1x) (+asyncronous)
; # MW+RSHIFT+9|0	as above but *10x (+asyncronous)
; # MW+RCONTROL+9|0	as above but *100x (+asyncronous)

As For the AutoSave feature, It will look like this:

Yx32iI4.png

I need to think how frequent the automatic save should be done (5 minutes?), and whether or not this message should be displayed:

Maybe a config option for this messagebox could be interesting. Other than that, a small message can be displayed right next to "Idle" on the bottom left of your screenshot.

Great update as always! By the way, a small suggestion could be to port the strings to another file to make the translation of the software easier. I often translate the tools using ResHack or whatever, but having the strings in a specific language file could make it easier for multiple translation. Even if it is just visual.

V40 is out!

New config option LOCALE

You can now translate the program UI (and also more in the future) by generating the relative WorldEditorRemix_{}.dll file.

To translate the program:

Some of you are translating some languages. I've finished the IT one.

How to change language? Like this:

idk what is going on but... at least  CTRL+Z or CTRL+S lifts up the heights of objects

unknown.png

and the app just destroyed and removed the bridges + other buildings too

unknown.pngand ALT+TAB can crash the app too

unknown.png

this panel has small issues too with rolling and moving that meter it skips values and can't be moved values near 0 to +/or/-319

but at least several camera angles and several commands like F6 can crash the application.
