Hello to all community members,

Today (03/25/2021) I am pleased to announce the release of version 2 of episode 1 of the Zulu project:

Episode 1 V2 - Metin2 PayPal Payment Gateway [M.P.P.G]

This tool is still extremely easy to use and allows you to receive automatic donations through PayPal.

Entering the user name and selecting the amount of "Coins" with their respective price would be more than enough.

Admin Panel

It also has an administrative panel with which you can manage the prices and coins to be delivered and review the logs of current donations with some useful statistics.

Sumary

This application has been rebuilt using PHP and the framework for it, Laravel.

  • When entering an account it will verify that it exists within the server, if it does not exist then it will display a message alerting of this. For security reasons there is a limit of 40 attempts per minute.
  • In the administrative panel there is also an account verification and an attempt limit, and in order to access the administrative account, it must have Lv 9 in the "web_admin" field in the account database, account table.
  • The information of each purchase (log) and the prices as well as the coins to be awarded are stored in a local database in SQLite 3.
  • The Laravel application has been modified to be used on any hosting server, shared or not, without any additional configuration.
  • An .htaccess file has been added and modified to the root folder to prevent access to sensitive content/files.
  • A documentation explaining the correct installation of the application has been created.

As I said in the first version, I hope it will be useful to someone. It is a completely free project created to help server creators and encourage good feedback in the communities, we can all contribute a grain of sand and help each other more now in difficult times.

If something is wrong, please let me know by any means of communication and it will be fixed as soon as possible.

Special thanks to:

  • .Seikatsu
  • Swiss (Gloria-II)
  • Kitzia
  • SirJoker

  • Akatsuki

For their support in making this project a reality. I Love you guys!

Very usefull, but If you accept paypal and run a metin2 server good luck bro until they bust you like rubinum admin xdddddd

The key word is pay taxes lol. Also you can't accept lots of payments to a personal paypal account, you have to register a business paypal account so paypal don't freeze your balance after a while. (TOS)

If you do your business legally then you don't have to worry about anything.

Everything you said is right, until one point. If the players are refunding the money (romanian's are doing this alot) the account will be blocked for 180 days accepting every refund instantly without any chance to prove it's wrong. The problem is that this happends automatically by the system, so for example if people are refunding like 50-60 payments your account will instantly be blocked leaving you without any way to contact them and even if you try to, they will send you the same message over and over again.

As long as I'll be a threat for you , i will always be your target :3

If somebody starts a refund, both the seller and buyer will be placed in a conversation with Paypal where the buyer needs to write his problem. Paypal and the seller will see this and if the buyer states that he did not received the goods, the seller can insert a screenshot from the itemshop_logs table as proof of the delivery. Then paypal will decide to who they believes. As long the seller proves the delivery i don't think Paypal decides against him.

The problem lies in where the seller does not respond to the dispute and the time frame passes, then the buyer will auto-won the case.

What I wanted to say that "instant block" is not instant, the seller have to ignore (or loose) 50-60 refund request before that happens.

Well, this is not quite true. The buyer is opening a dispute with the seller, if the dispute is not solved by the both seller and buyer then Paypal intervenes. The instant block is as i said, made automatically by the system when you have over 50-60 cases opened in a short time (two days or so) (doesn't matter if you reply to them or not)

Now you might ask, how in the world am i gonna get this ammount of refunds. Well if you have a big server this is  not a big deal what so ever. Everything i said, is from a personal experience so trust me, i've been there. Imagine people donating and playing with hacks, when the admins are banning them they all refund their money. Paypal is one of the worst payment's method out here.

As long as I'll be a threat for you , i will always be your target :3

"Paypal intervenes."

Yes but they will check the dispute's conversation, so they'll see the buyer stated the lack of delivery and your proof of delivery, and will decide with this information. Owsap in here had a very similar situation with paypal, his buyer stated the lack of delivery, he proved the delivery in the dispute conversation and won the case. It was in his thread with screenshots but since he closed his business the thread got deleted i think so can't link to you.

"The instant block is as i said, made automatically by the system when you have over 50-60 cases opened in a short time"

That only happens when you using a personal account instead a business account for a business. (=violating terms of service) Also when paypal limits your account, the opened cases are not closed immediatly so you can resolve that 50-60 cases even with your limited account and after that you have a better chance to to made them remove the limitations.

Spoiler

Also when you have 50-60 cases in just 2 days, i can't imagine how much your total monthly income.  In such case you can afford a lawyer to get legal help in your final despair. 😅

I agree paypal is not the best but your situation is individual case, or you made a mistake somewhere like using a personal account or ignoring the disputes.

I am aware of the legal issues and refund cases, I am currently working on another donation platform contacting several providers in order to reach a good solution. At the moment I can't give much information but as soon as I have enough information the project will be announced. All with the intention of being able to help communities with this online transaction problem they are currently facing.

Buying dragon coins should not be donations but buying digital goods (paypal have that option when you tick the transaction delivery), probably that's why some server had mass refund issues. The "seller" can't proof the delivery at the disputes to paypal if he got the money as donations. That's why the account blocking. Also accounting dc sells as donations is simply a financial (tax) fraud and illegal in all eu country I'm sure.

All I can say is that I said above, if someone doing their business legally they should be ok. If somebody have so much income from a Metin2 server, he needs to establish a company but at least being self-employed if their country allows that form and paying taxes.

Nonetheless improving your system by adding more providers would be a good addition 🙂
