Metin2's last year was 2015, the year when you could have over 2000 players connected simultaneously. Right now, the remaining servers are dead with less than ~300 players connected. My question to developers here is where did you move your interests now? (other games servers, programming, developing your own game...)

Why am I wrong? I didn't said to compile the source on vps. He can build the source on his PC and use it on vps without a virtual machine. But, you're right, it's not worth it's money.

It is possible to make a server on this configuration only if you'll compile game for windows, BUT don't expect to have more than 5-10 players. Windows XP needs 300-400 MB ram to run.
