I wonder, If you can do it of course, I don't need lzo to also use tea for the shift so less processing done while reading eix/epk, so removing that from the client binary and combination of eix+epk into one. Can you do this? Its a difficult enough job! But not impossible, I've heard of people changing LZO for a faster compression/decompression for the pack, Basically I want that.
  2. Most likely because besides the compression itself there is a load in memory from the lzo which I'm guessing isn't being cached like what The original does in the client. Do you mind putting up your code to let others help?
