  1. I've been long gone from the Metin2 scene however, today I decided to take a look at Metin2Dev and this thread was a joy. I do feel the same as @Exynox and I gotta say, you took the words out of my mouth, what you've said, word by word is what I feel about the Metin2 server core. Just as a context, I was a Metin2 Player since 2007, been in the private server stuff since the release of the Metin2 Rain Files, been author and "ghost" author of several metin2 servers, been through every process (client, server, website, quest's), a lot of different programming languages, however 5/6 years ago I decided to leave and focus on my professional career. Nowadays I work in the IT field, been working professionally in several different roles since 2016 (Golang, Javascript/Typescript, Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD, Code Review, ...) This are all terms of my day to day life. The choice of the Rust language is for sure the best bet, did some small projects back in the beginning of 2019 and it's for sure a language that deserves its credit. I was just wondering if any progress was made, unfortunately I don't have the time I would like to put a decent amount of effort into this, now a days the free time that I have (not much) is just to enjoy life outside.
  2. FreeBSD bull***? You don't know what you're saying. *BSD are the most stable OS for Server Environment. I know what I am saying, I work as a sysadmin in a Datacenter and I face a lot of issues with the latest Ubuntu's, Debian's and so on... The problem with the Metin2 Source is that it uses old dependencies, that's it's problem. FreeBSD as a lot of good stuff for example Jails which are far more mature than Docker and LXC, better Firewall with PF or IPFW, CARP, HAST, ZFS... Their Kernel is more clean and stable than other Linux Kernel. You are free to ask for help in that porting just don't say wrong things about FreeBSD which aren't true.
  3. I've already tried to compile it on PI 2 but there are no Hackshield source avaliable to compile. The Metin2 Source Files only provide HackShield Lib wich is compiled for i386. Removing Hackshield from Source Server might solve the problem.
  4. Hi, I found this one. It's not the best but is a bit larger.
  5. You could do a query like this, you dont need a generator: SELECT PASSWORD('password');
  6. You can't, the client loads by default from D:/ drive.
  7. It has nothing to do with the extractor, you probably use the latest version of notepad ++, you gotta take a look at the charset or use another editor like Sublime or something else.
  8. If you have something to say, say it here or send a pm.
  9. You gotta add a anti flag (ANTI_WOLFMAN) in every item to prevent Wolfman to equip it. Im not on the computer right now, my Wolfman is almost finished, I only need the official skill table the rest is working fine, new bonuses etc..
  10. Where did you get your Skill Table/Skill Desc?
